Khan River Lodge offers luxury accommodation and African hunting safaris in true Namibia farm style, in our magnificent lodge only 2 hours from Windhoek International Airport. Also available are trophy hunting safaris and various other safaris and tours throughout Namibia.

Namibia, previously known as South West Africa, was Africa’s last colony to gain independence in March 1990, and offers some of Africa’s most breathtaking and contrasting sceneries. Due to its economic and political stability, Namibia is destined to become one of the most sought after tourist destinations on the African Continent.

Khan River was a cattle farm but changed over to a Game Hunting Farm, Tourist and Tour operation a few years ago. There are thus no more fences and the game can roam freely. Through the large number of game and proper hunting methods Khan River are and will be in future in a position to offer their hunters only the top trophies in the area. Our business is to offer our clients an all inclusive service from meeting you at the airport to saying good bye to a satisfied customer at the end of a memorable stay in Namibia.

We offer the following trophies either on Khan River or on well established and carefully selected concession areas.

  • Kudu
  • Oryx
  • Eland
  • Duiker
  • Impala
  • Ostrich

Welcome to Ndumo Hunting Safaris. We would like you to come and join us on an unforgettable African adventure. We offer hunting safaris for dangerous and plains game, as well as wing shooting safaris in Southern Africa, mainly South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Ndumo Hunting Safaris is owned and operated by PH and outfitter Karl Stumpfe. He is also a contributor to Africa’s best hunting and shooting magazine, Magnum Magazine.

Whether you are interested in a classic African safari, or a very affordable hunting package, we can accommodate you. Our specialty is affordable safaris. The emphasis will be on fair chase hunting at all times, as we consider this more important than a big bag. We have access to good quality trophy hunting concessions teeming with wildlife, and will tailor make your hunt to include most of your wish list. Most of our hunts take place on one concession or area at a time, but due to the possible varied habitat requirements of different animals on our client’s wish list, traveling might be necessary. We cater for the first time hunter, as well as the more experienced trophy hunter. We also do corporate and group hunts at very competitive rates, for the ultimate treat of your business clients.

We can only accommodate 30 hunters or groups of hunters per year, and have more than a thousand trophy animals available for the 2005 hunting season. If you can see yourself tracking the mighty Cape buffalo on foot, or want a challenging mountain reedbuck hunt, or anything in between, feel free to contact us with any queries or special requests, or to discuss your unique requirements.

Ndumo hunting safaris hold hunting rights in most of the provinces of South Africa and Namibia, and can also arrange hunting safaris into Zimbabwe. Most of our hunts are conducted on privately owned land, but we can also arrange hunts on state concessions, and in state owned game reserves (South Africa only.) In South Africa, we can arrange hunts for most plains game and some dangerous game, from the Eastern Cape province, north to the Limpopo province, on properties teeming with wildlife. The dangerous game hunts are mostly in the Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces, but we can also offer bow hunts for white rhino, buffalo and hippo in the Free State province. In Namibia, we can hunt most plains game species found in Namibia, including some rarities like Hartmann’s mountain zebra and black faced impala, and some dangerous game up in the Caprivi Strip. In Zimbabwe, we can organize dangerous game hunts within communal land south of the Kariba Lake, or on a privately owned conservancy south of the Zambezi valley. The conservancy is one of a few places that are both a good area for a general bag for plains game and dangerous game hunting. (Elephant hunting in the conservancy is very seasonal, as they normally migrate in after the rainy season has started in end November.)
